Charity event last night at 385 Broadway loft, sponsored by Guinness and Edward III Absinthe. "Bartended" Absinthe from 7-10 while Mark and Ed did their thing; it's not difficult, but it is a process to make each drink, which sometimes makes people unhappy. But! alas, people love me, so it wasn't a big deal. I had fun, I had a couple of drinks, everyone almost everyone was super cool, and I made, like, $30 in tips. Met two Columbia grads ('07, '09) who are now working for the U.S. Attorney in New York. Little did I know that my night was just beginning...1030, next stop: Anthony Martignetti's Southside (1 Cleveland Pl.) for open bar after-party. Request Talking Heads from hot DJ, she delivers, "Burning Down the House." I am so happy, I dance. Quick shot of Jack and a Porkslap, and we out. Then I finally get to see what Cabin Down Below is all about. One drink, a Red Stripe, a handshake with the owner, and I'm flying up First Ave to meet Rufus, Maple, Melvin, Sweats (all of 9 & 3/4), Gonzo, young BUC, and others for a very special birthday celebration. Happy 22nd, Tao! 1020 for an hour or so, maybe not even, a couple of shots and beers, and me, Tao, young BUC, and Gonzo are cruising to Knets. After Knets, I can't really say much except, good times. Senior year. Three months left. Wed-Sat, and maybe Monday, Tues, Sunday. Blends. Die Antwoord - check them out.
